Literally meaning ‘Blue Mountain’ which is the highest mountain peak in Mizoram is located at a height of 2165 metres. It is situated close to the Burma border, on the curve of the river Kolodyne, in the Chhimtuipui district. Rich in exotic flowers, orchids, medicinal herbs, it is a very sacred peak, considered to be the abode of the Gods. There is a semi-circular beautiful cliff in the western side called Thlazuang Khamm which is the habitat of the wild mountain goats. People believe that this cliff was haunted by spirits.
It is preserved by the Government of Mizoram and now opens for adventure seekers.
