Aizawl, the state Capital of Mizoram is located at an altitude of 4000 feet above sea level. Surrounded on the east by the deep green valley of river Tlawng and protected by beautiful high hills of Durtlang on the north, it is an ideal hill station for those looking for some fresh air and solitude.

Solomon’s Temple: Tucked away in the lap of nature surrounded by lush green landscape, Solomon’s Temple, the biggest Church in Mizoram. It took almost 20 years of construction which saw a large number of people from across the globe who gathered be a part of the ceremony.
Solomon’s Temple, at Kidron Valley, Chawlhmun, on the western outskirts of Aizawl, was built by a religious group called Kohhran Thianghlim (Holy Church) and is run by members of the religious group. “In 1991, God had shown me Solomon’s Temple in my dreams. I never thought of Solomon’s temple before, nor had any dreams of constructing it. As soon as I woke up, I wrote down the details as I saw it in my dream,” said Lb Sailo, founder, Kohhran Thianghlim Church.
Reiek Heritage Village: A typical Mizo village, Reiek is consisting of the unique traditional huts of the different Mizo tribes and sub-tribes. Replicas of a house of Mizo chieftain, a bachelor’s dormitory and that of a widow has been created and maintained by Tourism Department of Mizoram. The houses are fully furnished giving the visitor a peek into the glorious past of the valiant highlanders. A few Mizo modern houses have also been constructed nearby to show the changes that have taken place in the Mizo way of life in keeping pace with the modern developments.
Bara Bazar: It is the most important shopping hub with stalls selling garments, and other commodities. Here the people can be seen in their traditional costumes selling products from farms and homesteads including river crabs with little wicker baskets.
Luangmual Handicarfts Centre: 7 Kms away from Aizaul it takes half an hour to reach by car. The ‘Khumbeu’ ceremonial bamboo hat is made here using waterproof ‘hnahthial’ leaves.
Mizoram State Museum: This museum is situated at Mc Donald Hill in the town center. it is having an interesting collection of historical relics, ancient costumes and traditional implements.

Durtlang Hills: The Durtlang Hills are located to the north of Aizawl in Mizoram and the way to the hilltop is breathtakingly beautiful as it provides a surreal scenic view. There are private cars and buses available to take passengers up to the hills from Aizawl.
Providing a panoramic view of the hill station, the Durtlang Hills are famous for the fascinating scenic beauty it holds and the rocky trek trail.
Mini Zoo: Home to species of animals and birds found only in the hills of Mizoram
Berawtlang Tourist Complex: This is a recreational center situated 7 kms away from Aizawl City. It offers the facilities of Restaurant as well as Tourist Cottages.
