Situated in South Sikkim, Ravangla is fast growing as a important destination in the tourism map of Sikkim. Surrounded by high-forested hills, Ravangla is located on the ridge separating the Teesta valley from the Rangit valley.
The main attraction in Ravangla is The Buddha Park, also known as Tathagata Tsal. It features a stunning 130-foot high statue of the Buddha as its centerpiece. The site of the park was chosen within the larger religious complex of the centuries-old Rabong Monastery. It is a very attractive park for visitors to enjoy peace and serenity with facilities like spacious pathways for relaxing strolls around the picturesque surroundings, a museum cum meditation centre and the beautiful Cho-Dzo Lake.
Ravangla is also famous for its breath taking views of Kanchanjungha along with its sister peaks of Pandim, Kabru, Sinialchu and many others.
