Named after the first Indian mountaineer to make it to the summit of Mount Everest, Tenzing Norgay, it is one of the most important landmarks of Darjeeling. Opposite to the Gombu Rock named after Nawang Gombu, nephew of Tenzing, these rocks are used for prileminery course on rock climbing training by HMI.
